Bet Sizing — When and How Many BB

Standard sizes

Preflop sizing

Flop c-bet (continuation bet)
If you were the preflop aggressor, you can bet first on the flop.
- Dry board (K72 rainbow): 25–33% pot is enough — few draws
- Wet board (JT9 two-tone): 66–75% or check — many draws need charging
- Multiway (3+ players): c-bet less, check more — someone likely connected
Board texture matters more than your exact hand sometimes.
Value betting
When you have a strong hand, bet to get more money in.
- Weaker hands may call → medium size (50–66%)
- Nut hand with draws on board → large bet (75–100%)
- Thin value on second pair → small bet (25–33%)
